Farm Credit Welcomes Flanigan as Marketing and Knowledge Center Intern
Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV), a lending cooperative that serves Virginia, West Virginia and western Maryland, announced that Nina Flanigan joined the Association as an intern for our marketing department and the Farm Credit Knowledge Center. She is based at the Roanoke branch, though she will spend time visiting branches and customer-owners throughout the footprint, as well as shadowing other departments.
Originally from Silver Spring, Maryland, Flanigan currently resides in Blacksburg, Virginia while attending Virginia Tech (VT). She is a rising senior, majoring in Agribusiness Management. Although Flanigan does not have a background in agriculture, she has fully embraced the industry during her time at VT, where she is a member of Sigma Alpha, the professional agricultural sorority, and Block and Bridle. She has also spent time working at VT’s dairy farm and she has experience working at a daycare.
Flanigan is excited to bring her enthusiasm to her internship. She shared, “I am looking forward to working with a team who shares the same passion for marketing and agriculture that I have. I am ready to learn new skills and gain hands-on experience in this field.”
“Nina is bright, enthusiastic and demonstrates a real passion for agriculture. She will surely be an asset to our team and the cooperative while gaining valuable experience” shared her mentor, Marketing and Digital Media Specialist, Jenna Sudol.
In her spare time, Flanigan enjoys being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
